The Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC) S.A. announces the launch of an open electronic competitive bidding process (e-auction) for the long-term lease (30 years) of the public property “Xenia Ouranoupolis”, a historic hotel which is part of the Xenia hotels network—an innovative project that redefined Greek hospitality in the mid-20th century.

Built in 1959 by Pericles Sakellarios, one of the leading figures in Greek architecture, the property stands today as a living monument of modern architecture, enriched with strong local influences.

Located at the gateway to Mount Athos, next to the town of Ouranoupolis, Xenia Ouranoupolis is one of the few Xenia hotels featuring a swimming pool and a private beach, offering a rare combination of cultural heritage and seaside luxury along a 330-meter coastline.

The hotel’s architectural design harmoniously blends post-war modernism with elements inspired by the monastic architecture of Mount Athos. The property spans 27,817 sq.m., comprising 82 rooms housed in three two-story buildings and 16 bungalow residences.

HPPC S.A. invites investors to take advantage of this unique property in Halkidiki, upgrading it into a modern four-star hotel complex in the heart of Northern Greece.
