HPPC: “OTUS I.K.E.” declared final bidder for “Xenia Vytinas”

Historic former hotel property set for long-term commercial leasing

The Public Properties Company (HPPC) S.A., a subsidiary of the Growthfund, announces the completion of the open electronic bidding process (e-auction) for the development of another historic hotel, the “Xenia Vytinas” in Arcadia.

“OTUS I.K.E.” was declared the final highest bidder of the leasing tender, conducted via the electronic platform www.e-publicrealestate.gr, having submitted the highest bid of €121,003.63.

The development plan for “Xenia Vytinas” entails a long-term lease of the property for 40 years, with an option to extend for an additional ten (10) years. The property spans an area of 36,638 sq.m., which includes a non-operational hotel with a total surface area of 1,315.93 sq.m., plus a 61.65 sq.m. basement and a capacity of 20 double rooms.

“Xenia Vytinas” was constructed in 1961 based on designs by architect Kostas Bitsios and in 2008 it was designated as a monument by the Central Council of Modern Monuments.

The development of the historic Xenia hotels included in HPPC’s portfolio forms a core pillar of the company’s strategy to activate and highlight properties of distinct cultural and developmental value, while keeping society and local communities at the center. By restoring iconic properties to modern use, HPPC aims to contribute to the development of high-quality destinations, attract investments and boost local economic activity.
