Two of the events in the world’s leading triathlon race, IRONMAN 70.3, Vouliagmeni, Greece will be held from 20 to 23 October 2022 at the popular, iconic Vouliagmeni Beach which is a Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC) property.
As part of IRONMAN 70.3 Vouliagmeni, Greece, which is co-organized by the Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni and EY ZHN Greece, Vouliagmeni Beach will host the Under Armor Night Run Vouliagmeni on Friday October 21 at 18.00. This is an impressive 5 km race starting from Vouliagmeni Beach, and it is estimated that 1,000 athletes will participate in the race.
At the Vouliagmeni Beach on Saturday 22 October, from 09:00 to 12:00, young athletes will have the opportunity to compete in IRONKIDS Greece-Vouliagmeni, a (400m – 1.2km) race for children aged 6-12 that will be divided into three distances depending on age. On the same day at Vouliagmeni Beach, sport will be accompanied by games, dance, entertainment and facepainting.
During the three-day sports event, more than 2,000 athletes from 65 countries and over 850 cities from all over the world will participate, covering a distance of 70.3 miles while having the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent coastal scenery of the Athenian Riviera.
The Vouliagmeni Coast, in addition to being a unique destination for summer fun for Greeks and foreigners, visitors, adults and children, is emerging as a multidimensional destination for the whole year. It offers relaxation, rejuvenation, well-being, sports and recreation to winter swimmers and sports fans, where they can enjoy its excellent infrastructure and modern tennis, basketball, volleyball and beach volleyball courts.
