Public Properties Company SA (PPCo SA) announces that today, Friday the 20th of December 2020, Voras-Kaimaktsalan Ski Center, welcomed its first visitors and inaugurated this year’s ski season.

First in skiers’ preferences for training, technical improvement and relaxed skiing, Voras-Kaimaktsalan Ski Center at 2,050 m to 2,480 m is distinguished for the excellent snow quality which, combined with the artificial snow system, ensures a longest season.

Voras-Kaimaktsalan Ski Center has a 3km track, 10 slopes of varying difficulty levels, 2 beginner slopes with baby lifts and 4 ski runs. The 2,480 m Kremassi lift leads to the two of the most demanding slopes in the country. The pistes have wide width and gentle slope, and the mountain is ideal for off-piste skiing.

The Playland is ideal for sleigh rides in the snow. The hiking climb to the chapel of Prophet Elias, a World War I monument, at an altitude of 2,524 meters is also worth the try. For adrenaline lovers, the descents of the mountain, away from the slopes, are ideal for Snow Kite and Parapente.

Skiers and mountain friends can enjoy a hot drink, a snack or a drink in our atmospheric chalet at the base of the ski resort or in the alpine chalet 2075, on the Sarantovrisi track! The relaxed atmosphere and the enchanting view of the unparalleled natural scenery will surely impress everyone.

There are also two ski schools and an equipment rental shop at the ski resort. During the ski season there is always a doctor to offer first aid.

Kaimaktsalan has an altitude of 2,524 meters and the view of Lake Vegoritida is majestic. At the lower altitudes, the mountain is covered with oak, beech and pine forests, which create a scenery of unique natural beauty.

Paleos Agios Athanasios is a picturesque settlement, just 16 km from the ski resort, and one of the most popular winter destinations in Greece.
