The Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC), a subsidiary of the Growthfund, announces the completion of Phase A of the tender process for the lease of the “Vouliagmeni Beach” property, which took place today with the opening of the Expressions of Interest submitted.
During the session of the competent Tender Committee, Expressions of Interest were submitted and opened from seven (7) investment schemes, confirming the strong investor interest in this emblematic asset of the Athenian Riviera.
Specifically, the following investment schemes expressed interest (in alphabetical order):
- Air Canteen S.A.
- Athens Beach Club S.A. Real Estate Exploitation Company
- Montekavo Real Estate S.A.
- The Margi S.A.
- Consortium: EVERGOOD Single Member Holdings & Investments S.A. – Gevsinous S.A.
- Consortium: REDS Single Member Real Estate & Services S.A. – Apothikes Aigaiou S.A., under the distinctive title “Vouliagmeni Beach Management & Exploitation Consortium”
- Fais Group S.A.
The tender concerns the long-term lease of the only organized beach currently available for development and operation within the Municipality of Vari–Voula–Vouliagmeni, for a period of twenty (20) years, with the option of a ten (10)-year extension.
The property covers a total area of 72,767.71 sq.m., with a permitted building capacity of 2,000 sq.m., including existing facilities such as the landmark former “Okeanis” restaurant, while the seafront spans 638.5 meters.
It is noted that the tender process is conducted in two phases: Phase A, which was completed today, concerned the invitation for Expressions of Interest, while the prequalification of investors will follow, leading to Phase B for the submission of binding offers, in accordance with the terms of the tender.
“Vouliagmeni Beach” is the most popular organized and accessible beach of the Athenian Riviera, located just 25 kilometers from the city center. Its natural landscape, crystal-clear waters and existing leisure infrastructure attract thousands of visitors throughout the year. In 2024, it welcomed 420,000 visitors, with daily capacity reaching up to 8,000 people.
