HPPC: Lease agreement signed with the Municipality of Vari–Voula–Vouliagmeni for the City Hall building
Significant upgrade works are planned, financed through the Recovery and Resilience Facility
The Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC), a subsidiary of the Growthfund, proceeded on Monday, 1 December 2025, to sign a lease agreement with the Municipality of Vari–Voula–Vouliagmeni for the property currently housing the City Hall.
This agreement reflects an effective and productive collaboration between HPPC and Local Government, aiming both to support social needs and to substantially upgrade the property through funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, with the relevant works already underway.
The lease αφορά a total land area of 14,758.03 sq.m., which includes, in addition to the City Hall, the “Ionia” Cultural Center and the adjacent café–restaurant. The lease term is set at twenty-five (25) years from the signing date, with the Municipality paying an annual rent.
The total rent is covered by the adjacent business activity, with part allocated to the Municipality.
Within the framework of the agreement, the Municipality of Vari–Voula–Vouliagmeni undertakes the responsibility, care, and cost for covering its building needs (City Hall and Cultural Center), ensuring their continued operation in the existing premises. At the same time, it is granted the right to exploit the entire leased area, within which it is required to implement a series of works to ensure the smooth operation of all building facilities.
