Another strategic development of public property with cultural and growth impact

The Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC), a subsidiary of the Growthfund, announces the successful completion of the electronic tender process for the lease of the property with Asset Code (ABK) 534 in the city of Corfu, known as the “Asani” building.

Four (4) investment schemes participated in the electronic auction (e-auction). The highest bidder was “Kontos Concreate S.A.”, which submitted the top offer amounting to €33,502.42, and will undertake a significant investment program for the restoration and renovation of the property.

The “Asani” building is a six-storey property of historical significance, with a total surface area of 867.40 sq.m., prominently located in the Town Hall Square, at the heart of Corfu’s Old Town. The property lies within the unified archaeological site of Paleopolis and the Old Town of Corfu, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The lease term is set at thirty (30) years, with an option for a ten (10)-year extension, ensuring the asset’s long-term development prospects and revenues for the State.

The development of the historic “Asani” building is part of HPPC’s broader strategic plan to activate properties of significant cultural value. A key priority remains the utilization of public assets that have fallen into disuse and require immediate, substantial interventions due to their condition.
