HPPC: Dimitris Politis appointed as new Chairman
New structure of the Company’s Board of Directors
The Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC), a subsidiary of the Growthfund, announces that, following a decision of its Shareholders’ General Assembly, Mr. Dimitris Politis has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, while Mr. Ioannis Kostopoulos has been appointed as a new member of the Board, replacing Mr. Theodoros Glavas, whose term has expired.
Following these changes, the Board of Directors of HPPC is structured as follows (term of office until 30/08/2028):

- Iro Hadjigeorgiou, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Member of the BoD
- Anna Saipi, Non-Executive Member of the BoD, Chair of the Audit Committee
- Maria Ioannidou, Non-Executive Member of the BoD
- Martha Kabbatha, Non-Executive Member of the BoD
- Ioannis Kostopoulos, Non-Executive Member of the BoD
- Anthoula (Anthie) Trokoudi, Non-Executive Member of the BoD
HPPC’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Iro Hadjigeorgiou, stated: “We welcome Mr. D. Politis and Mr. I. Kostopoulos to the Company’s Board of Directors and wish them every success in their new roles. Their expertise, experience, and capabilities will significantly strengthen HPPC’s corporate governance, support the Company’s ongoing transformation, and further advance our strategy aimed at maximizing value and enhancing the efficient management of our real estate portfolio. Our goal remains the development of key assets and infrastructure, as well as the delivery of projects of strategic importance—always for the benefit of society and the Company’s financial performance.”
The new Chairman of HPPC, Mr. Politis, stated: “It is with great pleasure and honor that I assume the position of Chairman of HPPC’s Board of Directors, while being fully aware of the responsibility this role entails and the importance of Boards in line with international best practices and modern governance standards. Guided by core values such as business ethics, accountability, and transparency, and with a shared objective of optimizing the utilization of HPPC’s real estate assets, while respecting the Company’s resources and human capital, we look forward to delivering even stronger results.”

Brief CV – D. Politis
Dimitris Politis is a senior executive with extensive experience in the banking and financial sector, specializing in developing and successfully executing strategic investments. He is a graduate of the American College of Greece and holds an MBA in International Business & Export Management from City University Business School, London. Since 1993, he has held senior leadership positions in international financial institutions, starting his career at HSBC in Athens and London in Investment Banking. He has served as Head of Credit Commercial de France in Greece, Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking at HSBC Greece, and Head of Wealth Management for UHNWI clients at Credit Suisse and EFG Bank in Zurich. From 2021 to 2024, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF/TAIPED), where he accelerated the implementation of the Public Asset Development Program. During his tenure, proceeds exceeded €5.5 billion, including landmark transactions such as the new concession agreement for Attiki Odos, the listing of Athens International Airport shares on the Athens Stock Exchange, and the placement of additional shares in Helleniq Energy, representing nearly 45% of HRADF’s total proceeds since inception. He also transformed the organization into a recognized center of excellence for port infrastructure and strategic real estate. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) as a representative of the Hellenic Republic.
Brief CV – I. Kostopoulos
Ioannis Kostopoulos is an experienced executive with a long-standing career across the energy, financial services, consumer goods, and consulting sectors. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Athens Exchange Group, Chairman of Austriacard AG in Vienna, and Non-Executive Board Member of DMEP Holdco Ltd and DMEP (UK) Ltd in London. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Hellenic Petroleum Group (2007–2015), where he led a major transformation, including infrastructure modernization, expansion into renewable energy and significant profitability growth. Prior to that, as CEO of Petrola S.A., he led the strategy that resulted in its merger with Hellenic Petroleum, creating one of the largest industrial groups in Southeast Europe. He has also held senior leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Diageo/Metaxa, Procter & Gamble, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Booz Allen & Hamilton. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BSc (Hons) in Economics & Econometrics from the University of Southampton.
